I have a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University in Family and Human Development. There I learned how to teach young children in a way tailored to their developmental stage and abilities. Preschool age children have specific attention spans, emotional maturity, and social interaction abilities. At Storybook Preschool, I will help them explore their growing independence while building knowledge and self-confidence.
This is the second year of Storybook Preschool here in Saratoga Springs. Overall, I have taught preschool for 10 years and loved every minute watching children gain social interaction skills, foundational pre-reading knowledge of letters and sounds, all while they thought they were just playing!
As the mother to 6 beautiful children of my own, I have cherished watching their sponge-like preschool brains absorb new information. In my Preschool, I am excited to integrate learning into every activity. We will learn letters, sounds, numbers, shapes, opposites, rhyming, seasons, science concepts-- not in a strict instructional setting-- but as an active, explorational endeavor. With movement, music, pretend and play, every little thing will bring learning.
